| Administrative Support: HR & Safety At RTL-Westcan Group of Companies, we dedicate ourselves to delivering complete, customer-driven transportation solutions. This position reports to the HR Advisor, and also supports the Safety Department. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • You are responsible for assisting with the recruitment activities of location specific positions for RTL Yellowknife (YK) and Arctic Sunwest Charters (ASC). You work closely with the RTL Edmonton counterpart regarding recruitment needs in Edmonton. This includes, but is not limited to: o Correspondence and document collection of candidates for RTL YK and ASC o Conduct employment reference checks on behalf of RTL YK, Edmonton and ASC o Liaise with RTL Edmonton and ASC regarding recruitment advertising needs and ensure placement of all ads for RTL and ASC; collaborate with Head Office where applicable • Applicant tracking for RTL YK, Edmonton and ASC including electronic filing and database maintenance • Preparation of Weekly Vacancy and Turnover Reports as required by Head Office for RTL YK, Edmonton and ASC • Arrange all necessary business travel for RTL • Generation of company ID tags for camp and winter road; includes taking and maintaining employee photos • Data entry as required by HR and/or Safety Department including start dates, uniform vouchers, probation periods • Report generation as required by HR and/or Safety Department • Coordination of safety training • Upkeep of the driver’s employee files The INDIVIDUAL and QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum 2 years’ post-secondary education in related field or equivalent experience working in Administrative Support capacity; • Experience in transportation or construction industry would be an asset; • Well organized, detail oriented and enthusiastic with a roll up your sleeves attitude towards work; • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, able to work independently; • Capable of handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism; • Proficient with Microsoft Office and database programs; • Active communication and listening skills are essential • Pre-employment medical/substance test COMPENSATION: A competitive salary including benefits and matching RRSP program.
